The teams for 2017 Reebok Crossfit Invitational taking place on November 5th in Melbourne, Australia have been announced.
Team USA will feature sixth place finisher, Tennil Reed-Beuerlein alongside Kari Pearce. Scott Panchik and Noah Olsen will represent the US for the men. Another year and Matt Fraser is still absent from the invitational. Did his invitation get lost in the mail, Dave? 🙂
The Pacific team will feature the fittest woman on earth, Tia-Clair Toomey, and the second fittest woman on earth, Kara Webb. Those two should be force to be reckoned with. Rob Forte and James Newbury will hold it down for the men. James Newberry will also serve as the teams coach.
Team Canada will feature Alessandra Pichelli and Carol-Ann Reason-Thibault for the women along with the second and third fittest men on earth, Brent Fikowski and Patrick Vellner. The combination of Fikowski and Vellner should be fun to watch.
The reigning champs, Team Europe, will be represented by Annie Thorisdottir and Sara Sigmundsdottir on the women’s side. Annie finished third at the 2017 Crossfit Games making her the first female to have stood on all three podium spots at the games. Bjorgvin Karl Gudmundsson will compete alongside Jason Smith for the men.
