Crossfit Motivation

As athletes we sometimes need a little motivation to get us through a tough workout.  Sometimes we get burned out or just feel too sore to make it into the gym.  When I get into one of those moods I simply turn to my positive inner talk.  Positive thinking gets me through those tough days.  I’m not going to lie but most of my positive thinking is made up of quotes from my favorite athletes.   Here are some of my favorite quotes to get you through those tough days:

1. Rich Froning

I may not be the strongest, I may not be the fastest but I work the hardest.

2. Camille Leblanc-Bazinet

My advice is very simple, if you want something, work your ass off for it.

3. Noah Olsen

Nothing replaces hard work.

4. Donny Shankle

Pull the bar like you’re ripping the head off a god-damned lion.

5. Kristin Holte

Love what you do.

6. Ben Bergeron

You cannot reach your full potential if you train, practice and live within your comfort zone.

7. Camille Leblanc-Bazinet

When I train, I erase all the limits and expectations of what I can do.  I am powerful and anything is possible.

8. Rich Froning

In training, you listen to your body.  In competition, you tell your body to shut up.

9. Ben Bergeron

Elevate your mental toughness by understanding the difference between being uncomfortable, being in pain, and suffering.
Your workouts are uncomfortable. Losing a loved one is painful. Reliving pain, unnecessarily, is suffering.

10. Jerry Rice

Today I will do what others wont so tomorrow I can do what others can’t.

I've been an athlete since I started playing baseball at the age of 7 up until the end my collegiate wrestling career. As a bodybuilder looking to supplement my training I stumbled into a Crossfit gym and was immediately hooked. Although I still enjoy bodybuilding I find my passion has shifted to being a competitive crossfitter. My articles will take you through my journey into Crossfit. Enjoy!
